At Cat’s Cradle, when there is a cat in need, we do everything we can to make sure it is treated with the love and dignity that all creatures deserve. Support from people like you make miracles happen, and Zeke’s story is one of those miracles.
When we first encountered Zeke during a Trap, Neuter, Return mission, he was in desperate need of help. Amongst the other cats we trapped at a caretaker’s home, Zeke’s behavior made him stand out – he didn’t demonstrate the same behaviors as a feral cat, and our TNR Senior Specialist, Justin quickly realized Zeke wasn’t feral at all. This sweet little boy was sick, struggling, and in need of urgent care.
Thin, lethargic, and with bloodstains in his trap, Zeke’s condition was heartbreaking, and we quickly rushed him to the vet to get him help. The vet’s report came back with a long list of ailments: an upper respiratory infection, a urinary tract infection, fleas, worms, anemia, a red blood cell parasite, and
concerning kidney levels. Poor Zeke!! His fragile, emaciated state made us believe he was fairly old, but it turned out he was actually 18 months old!
Where some might have thought Zeke was too far gone, Cat’s Cradle saw an opportunity and duty to help, and donations to Cat’s Cradle meant we had the funds to bring Zeke back from the brink and get him on the road to recovery.
Today, thanks to the generosity of people like you, Zeke is safe in a loving foster home, receiving weekly checkups and the medical care he needs to become a thriving kitty. Soon, he will be ready for adoption—a happy, healthy cat who just needed a second chance.
But Zeke’s story isn’t unique. Every day, Cat’s Cradle receives cats like him from local shelters who are in dire need of medical attention, shelter, and love. And it is because of people like you that make it so Cat’s Cradle can stand up for the kitties who otherwise wouldn’t have a chance. We can’t do this lifesaving work without your help!
Will you consider making a donation today to help cats like Zeke get the care they desperately need? Your gift, no matter the size, provides food, medical treatment, and a safe place to heal. Together, we can make a huge difference.
Thank you for being part of our mission. With your support, we can continue saving lives—one cat at a time.
With gratitude,
Sherri Heishman
