All our cats and kittens are in foster care, and have been fully vetted and altered prior to adoption.

Sometimes we put very young foster kittens on the site before they are ready to go. If you fall in love with one of these kittens, you can still initiate the adoption process while we’re getting them ready for their new home.

Re-homing
Do you have a cat you cannot keep? You are the best person to find a new home — you know your cat’s personality, and who would be a good match Furthermore, friends, family, and co-workers are your most likely prospects for adopting your cat. Here is what we recommend:

·  First, do everything you can to keep your cat. New babies do fine with cats, and are less likely to develop allergies later in life if exposed to cats as infants. You can often negotiate with a land-lord, if your cat is well-behaved and you can pay a pet deposit, even in “no cat” rentals.

·  Make sure the cat is altered and vaccinated.

·  Talk with everyone you know to find a good home.

·  Take a nice close-up photo, and make flyers that tell about your cat’s charms, and why a new home is needed. Post them in your vet’s office, at work, etc.

·  If the cat is altered, vaccinated, and healthy, we will post the picture and information on our website. You can email us for a form to submit your information. We will post it if you allow us to post your contact information, and you do the follow up with potential adopters.

·  Make sure you check references for someone who is going to adopt. Their veterinarian may have good information about their animal care. Asking for reimbursement of your expenses can also help select for responsible guardians.
